Reflections on the Conception of Human Dignity

Abstract

The present work aims to address some reflections of the conception of human dignity, highlighting its fundamental value at the apex of Human Rights. Thus, the main objective is to demonstrate the dimension of the principle of human dignity as an intrinsic value for all human beings, inserted in the core of fundamental rights, such as equality, freedom or privacy. For this, the bibliographic methodology will be used, based on the analysis of articles, theses, dissertations and works that read on the topic discussed here. It can be concluded that human dignity as the foundation of human rights still demands a long struggle for promotion sustained by this principle, requiring the minimum existential for its affirmation, that is, at least the minimum of health, education, income, culture, justice for men of all races, cultures and gender.
