THE RIGHTS OF THE WORKING CLASS IN THE LIGHT OF THE PONTIFICAL MAGISTRY

The historical construction of the rights and guarantees of the working class in the world and in Brazil involves the struggle of different actors. Among the groups involved in defending and conquering the rights of workers, this paper analyzes the role of the Catholic Church, through the Pontifical Magisterium, for the affirmation of the rights of the working class and for the critique of human exploitation relations jobs. The writing uses hypothetical-deductive and dialectical methodology, of a qualitative nature, through the techniques of historical, bibliographical and documentary research. As final results, this research concludes that the Pontifical Magisterium made relevant contributions to the achievement of social labor rights.
