Author Guidelines

Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights (UEG) accepts unpublished texts in Portuguese, Spanish and English, in the form of an academic article from any of the areas of scientific knowledge, provided they intersect with human rights.

The texts must be presented by Atâtôt's virtual management system - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights (UEG), on the following parameters:

- Presentation of Originals:

Articles should be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

Articles must have a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 25 pages (including bibliography) typed in Word 97-2003 (or higher) format, in Times New Roman font, size 12, space 1.5, italics instead of underlined.

Reviews must have a maximum of 4 typed pages. There should be no footnotes.

Graphs and tables should be accompanied by their original spreadsheets, indicating the units in which the values ​​are expressed, as well as the source of the data presented.

Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and placed at the footer. Footnotes should restrict themselves to additional and short comments, discarding comments excessively extensive or unnecessary to the general understanding of the text.

All texts should be accompanied by abstracts in Portuguese, Spanish and English. The abstracts must have from 150 to 500 words and keywords with a minimum of three and a maximum of five.

The texts must be accompanied by the following data from the authors: name, highest academic title, current academic or scientific institutional position, e-mail.

The bibliographic references at the end of the article should be presented, in alphabetical order, according to NBR 6023: 2018.

Rules for publication:

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify the compliance of the submission on relation to all items listed below. Submissions that do not conform to the standards will be returned to the authors.

1. Atâtôt ​​- Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights (UEG) publishes only articles from doctors, masters and regular students of stricto sensu postgraduate programs may also submit articles as long as they have a doctor or master as co-author.
2. The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, "About the Journal" section.
3. The authorship ID has been removed from the file and the Properties option in Word, thus guaranteeing the journal's confidentiality criterion, if submitted for peer review (eg according to the instructions available in "Ensuring blind peer review".

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify that their submission is in compliance with all of the items listed below. We will return submissions that do not comply with the guidelines to the authors.

✅ The articles must include a title in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, along with their summary, abstract, and resume. It should include the author's professional data, academic institution, linked projects, ORCID, and email.

✅ The contribution is unique, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in another journal; if it were not, it would require justification in the "Comments to the Editor."

✅ The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.

✅ We have provided URLs for references whenever possible.

✅ Use a 12-point font for the text, and use italics instead of underlining (except for URLs). Include figures and tables in the text, not as attachments at the end of the document.

✅ The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Author Guidelines.

✅ You must present the articles in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.

✅ All authors indicated their ORCID.
