About the Journal
Élisée Journal is a continuous publication of the State University of Goiás (UEG), supported by the Graduate Program in Geography at UEG’s Cora Coralina Campus. We publish articles, research notes, and reviews in various fields of Geography and related disciplines (History, Economics, Education, Environmental Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.).

According to the Qualis Periódicos evaluation (2017–2020 quadrennium), Élisée Journal is ranked as B1 (Qualis Periódicos).

Submissions

Dear authors, please review the submission guidelines available in Author Guidelines before submitting your contributions.

Authors are not charged any fees for manuscript submission or evaluation.

Peer Review Policy

Original articles undergo double-blind peer review by two members of the Scientific Board and/or ad hoc reviewers. In case of conflicting evaluations, a third reviewer is consulted. If revisions are required, authors have 20 days to submit a corrected version to the editor. The revised manuscript will be re-evaluated by the Editorial Board or the original reviewers.

Rejected manuscripts are returned to authors with reviewer feedback. The Editorial Board is committed to impartiality, transparency, and confidentiality in the evaluation process, safeguarding the rights of reviewers, authors, and institutions involved.

Ethical Guidelines

Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data falsification, and fabrication are strictly prohibited. These forms of scientific misconduct are defined by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (http://www.abc.org.br/IMG/pdf/doc-4559.pdf) as follows:

  • Fabrication: Inventing results or records as if they were real.

  • Falsification: Manipulating data, procedures, or results.

  • Plagiarism: Appropriating others’ ideas or work without proper credit.

  • Self-plagiarism: Republishing previously disclosed scientific results as new, without acknowledging prior publication. (2013, p. 11)

Open Access Policy

This journal provides free and open access to its content, following the principle that unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge promotes global democratization of learning.

Authors who publish in Élisée Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License, which permits sharing and distribution provided that:

    • Attribution: Proper credit is given, along with a link to the license and indication of any changes.

    • NonCommercial: The material may not be used for commercial purposes.

    • NoDerivatives: If the material is remixed or transformed, the modified version may not be distributed.

  2. Authors receive no monetary compensation for published works.
