A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA MUNICIPAL BRITO BROCA NA ARTICULAÇÃO COM O TERRITÓRIO

Resumo

Resumo: Este artigo busca verificar o papel cultural, a prestação de serviços de informação cidadã e a articulação territorial da Biblioteca Pública Brito Broca, localizada no bairro de Pirituba, na cidade de São Paulo, Brasil. Para análise da função social comunitária e territorial buscamos informações nos relatórios produzidos anualmente pela Coordenacão do Sistema Municipal de Bibliotecas, da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura/PMSP e nos comentários dos frequentadores e parceiros publicados nas redes sociais oficiais da biblioteca no triênio 2016-2017-2018. Desta maneira, espera-se apontar o processo de ressignificação da biblioteca pública em local de interação social e exercício da cidadania, com ofertas de informação e lazer para todos os públicos, assumindo seu papel de mediação e aproximação dos diferentes públicos com o território.

Abstract: This article aims to verify the cultural role, the provision of citizen information services and the territorial articulation of the Brito Broca Public Library, located in the Pirituba neighborhood, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. To analyze the community and territorial social function we seek information in the reports produced annually by the Coordination of the Municipal Library System and comments by visitors and partners published in the official social networks of the library in the 2016-2017-2018 triennium. Thus, it is expected to point out the process of resignification of the public library in a place of social interaction and exercise of citizenship, offering information and leisure to all audiences, assuming its role of mediation and approximation of different audiences with the territory.
