Abstract

This is a memoir that summarizes various stances and positions regarding the use of digital audiovisual tools as devices for political and social contention by the indigenous peoples of Abya Yala, as well as the usability they give to all these resources to maintain oral, historical, collective memory and to unite among the different communities and villages both in Ecuador and Brazil, through the struggle to keep their territories and memories away from both epistemic and territorial extractivism.

With that said, we will address the reality of different territories, showing - or not - the various needs and characteristics that unite the social struggles of ancient peoples within the region and how these communication tools can contribute in some way to accompany and dispute the word in each of the struggles, becoming a popular pedagogical process of collective learning, re-learning, and self-learning through the stories told in audiovisual media.
