This article seeks to examine how freedom of expression, constitutionally guaranteed in the country, from a liberal perspective, is intolerant whenever it excludes the speech of the other, in fact, there is a clear example in the media, our object of analysis and over which the speech stands out. hegemonic. It is not without reason that liberalism has always had a morbid need to seize the media and thereby freedom of expression, filtering that freedom according to their interests. Thus, in this research it can be affirmed that this generates the exclusion of the other and, consequently, contributes to the reproduction of an intolerant, barbaric, unequal and human rights violating society. The general objective of the study is to identify how freedom of expression is manipulated by the prevailing capitalist interest and to verify whether or not this manipulation can produce intolerance from the media. The bibliographical analysis based on Wolff's (2004) central approach on tolerance, civilization and barbarism, among others, such as Hunt, Flores, Roses, Douzinas, Habermas, etc., was used as methodology. From the bibliographies studied, it can be concluded that the freedom of expression reproduced by the media keeps ideological marks of oppression, intolerance, barbarism and violation of human rights.
