CARACTERÍSTICAS FISIOLÓGICAS E DE DESENVOLVIMENTO DO MARACUJÁ SUBMETIDO A DIFERENTES FORMAS DE PROPAGAÇÃO E INTERVALOS DE IRRIGAÇÃO
Abstract
The objective of this work was to verify the physiological and developmental characteristics of the passion fruit submitted to different forms of propagation and irrigation intervals. The experiment was carried out from May to July 2019 at Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Technological Sciences, located in the municipality of Dracena, state of São Paulo. The experimental design was completely randomized (DIC), in a 3x3 factorial arrangement, using methods of propagation of passion fruit (MP), which are: the species Passiflora edulis propagated with seeds (PS); Passiflora edulis grafted on the species Passiflora gibertii propagated by seed (E x PS) and Passiflora edulis grafted on the species P. gibertii propagated by cuttings (E x PE) and interacting with three irrigation intervals (I), they were irrigated with intervals of 4, 8 and 12 days, with four replications totaling 36 plots. It was observed that plants propagated by seeds showed lower growth rates. Passion fruit seedlings grafted onto seedlings obtained by cuttings or seeds have vigor to be propagated commercially. Irrigation intervals over 8 days are harmful to the development of passion fruit. Irrigation intervals over 8 days provide a higher concentration of chlorophyll due to low cell turgidity due to less dispersion of chloroplasts in the cytoplasm of cells.
