Our mission

Our mission is to disseminate new knowledge and contribute to the development of science in the country and in the world.

Peer Review Process

After receipt of the article through the electronic submission system, it will be read by the Editorial Team, who will check whether the text complies with the Journal's submission guidelines regarding format. When the general format of the manuscript is considered acceptable and in full compliance with the Guidelines for Authors, the editor and/or members of the editorial committee will designate at least two reviewers/reviewers with experience in the subject, to assess the quality of the study. Each manuscript will be reviewed by PhDs with recognized expertise in the study area in question. This process will be performed by the Double blind peer review, ensuring absolute confidentiality, both for the identity of the authors and the reviewers. After a period that varies from one to several weeks, the authors will receive the evaluations of the reviewers and must provide all the additional information requested and the corrections that are necessary for publication. After corrections, the text and the final evaluations of the reviewers, together with the response letter, will be forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief for decision.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Agrotecnologia magazine is affiliated to the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC) and is indexed in AGROBASE (Coordination of Agricultural Information and Documentation / Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply) and AGRIS (Information System for the Agricultural Science and Technology / FAO), LATINDEX - Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal, Google academic, EBSCO, VIRTUAL LIBRARY and SUMÁRIOS.ORG.

Periodicity
As of May 2023, the journal will use the continuous publication method, that is, a single annual volume but with a faster publication flow.
