Call for Papers 01/2025 – Thematic Dossier
The Revista de Direito Socioambiental of the State University of Goiás (ReDiS) announces the call for its new thematic dossier, which will be part of the 2025/2 edition of the journal and will focus on “Territorialities and Socio-Environmental Conflicts.” The purpose of this dossier is to bring together critical and multidisciplinary reflections on the multiple struggles surrounding land, water, natural resources, and territorial identity, recognizing that socio-environmental conflicts are not limited to legal disputes, but also involve ways of life, collective memories, ancestry, public policies, and deeply unequal power structures.
In recent years, issues such as land concentration, the impacts of large economic enterprises, ecosystem destruction, and the denial of territorial rights to Indigenous, quilombola, riverine, and urban communities have become central to debates on socio-environmental justice. This dossier arises precisely from the urgency of making these conflicts visible, as well as the strategies of resistance that emerge amid processes of exclusion and invisibilization. Selected articles should engage with these realities and contribute with solid analyses on the ongoing territorial disputes in contemporary Brazil.
Manuscripts may be submitted until October 15, 2025, and publication is scheduled for December 2025. Between 8 and 10 papers will be selected, according to ReDiS editorial guidelines. If the number of approved articles exceeds the established limit, the editorial team may consider the feasibility of a new dossier or publication in future regular editions.
This edition will feature the academic curation of the following invited professors:
