Abstract

Abstract:

From its first edition in 2018, the Mental Health Games of Goiás (JGSMental), became a mark of the anti-asylum fight in the state of Goiás, directed at protagonism and construction of collective and solidary care. This article is organized as na essay which aims to describe the context and the organization process of the JGSMental, highlighting the editions that occurred during the new coronavirus pandemic. The article presupposes that the games integrate the answer to the necessities of mental health services users. Although asylum practices persist in Brazil and in Goiás, the JGSMental, as a sports-cultural device, composes the collective mental health radical transformation strategies. Its emancipating potential resides in an intentional social practice that advocates the outpatient care, revealing process of iniquities of the capitalist society.
