Productions on Intellectual History and Education:
an analysis from a theoretical approach to the Philosophy of Liberation
Abstract
Abstract:
By addressing the intersection between Intellectual History and Education, the article characterizes and analyzes the epistemological foundations of scientific productions of a research group linked to a Graduate program in Education. Authors of Intellectual History and contributions from the Philosophy of Liberation are adopted as theoretical references. It results from a documentary research with a qualitative approach, using theses and dissertations as primary sources. The documents point to an approach to Intellectual History considering intellectuals from Latin America, Brazil, and the State of Pará, promoting links with other theories, such as Decolonial Thinking. It concludes by encouraging the production of research between Intellectual History and Education, in dialogue with authors, including from other areas, such as Enrique Dussel.
