History writing, memory and cyberculture: considerations about virtual memory spaces on Wikipedia

Abstract

In this article, our aim is to examine the connections between historiographical discourse and the constitution of virtual memory spaces within the context of cyberculture. To do so, we establish an analysis of the entry 'Impeachment of Dilma Rousseff' on the Lusophone Wikipedia, understanding how the process of demediatization fosters the sharing of cyberspace between professional historians and other forms of production and dissemination of historical writings.
