Abstract

The present article intends describe the history of the Party Communist of Brazil (PCB) in the city of São Paulo between the years of 1922 and 1935, highlighting its main actions and the particularity of building the communist organization in the capital of São Paulo. We intend demonstrate some elements that explain the PCB's delay in insert in the main categories of workers from the then largest industrial city of the country, being the main them is the existence of a relative autonomy of communists active in São Paulo in relation to the party leadership, hosted by the most of the period in Rio de Janeiro.
