Historiography of education in Brazil: publications of the HISTEDBR On-Line Journal in the process of affirmation of the scientific field (2016-2019)
Abstract
This work presents a brief analyzes the publications of the Revista HISTEDBR On-line, between 2016 and 2019, in order to identify the main structuring elements that characterize the magazine: namely, thematic, time frame, space frame and editorial body. The study was made possible by the use of bibliometrics, generating data that allowed us to know the aspects that prevailed in the most recent journal's publications. Considering that journals are privileged spaces for debate and circulation of knowledge, we believe that the present analysis reveals a portrait of this scientific field, in addition to contributing to the discussions around the Historiography of Education in Brazil. Specifically, the HISTEDBR On-line Journal, in the proposed period, points to the recurrence of themes considered traditional, discussed in more recent time frames (20th and 21st centuries). Likewise, the editorial board is mostly composed of people linked to the HISTEDBR group and Unicamp's graduate program. Finally, it is mentioned that the journal's internationalization is still incipient, influencing its evaluation in an important way with the regulatory and development agencies.
