CCRural: software for cost estimation of coating and masonry in rural constructions
Keywords:
Financial Management., Technology Transfer., Farm Planning.Abstract
This study presents the development and application of the CCRural software, a free tool developed at the State University of Goiás (UEG) aimed at estimating the costs of cement, lime, and fine sand in small rural constructions. The program, written in Fortran, calculates the volume of mortar required for coating and masonry based on basic geometric information and regional material costs. CCRural seeks to contribute to the financial management of small rural properties by promoting access to technical knowledge in a simple and accessible way. The performed simulations demonstrate the sensitivity of total costs to variations in material prices, highlighting the importance of the tool as an instrument for planning and technological extension in rural construction.
