Perception of monitoring in human parasitology of pharmacy students of UFCG

Abstract

The academic monitoring, is provided in the law number 5540/68 which set standards of organization and operation, allowing monitored students other possibilities to the upgrading of their studies. Seeking to improve the developing of the monitoring activities, the present work had as objective to analyze the perception of the monitoring Human Parasitology by the students of pharmacy from UFCG. It was a question of a transversal study with a descriptive and quantitative character, with the application of questionnaire semi-structured on the students of the Bacharelado em Farmácia do Centro de Educação e Saúde, semester 2016.2. 26 students participated in this study (100% of the students are enrolled on the discipline) and data were analyzed on a Statistical Software Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 13.0 for Windows. It was observed that 88,5% of the students participate effectively of the monitoring. In relation to the main difficulty, 57,7% of the interviewed affirmed that they had doubt about the practical contents and as main suggestions to the improvement of the monitoring it was indicated mostly the creation of exercise lists (42,3%) and digital media (38,5%). The monitoring presents an important role when related to the construction of knowledge, being necessary to know which are the need of the students to potentialize its actions as a facilitator on the teaching-learning process.
