Bird’s assembladge structure in an urban section of Tamanduá Stream in Iporá, Goiás
Abstract
The birds at urban route of a stream in Iporá was studied, between January to November 2018 and January 2019 (N = 12) with point counts, being recorded 78 species. The Jackknife1 richness = 94.50 and asymptotic cumulative curves demonstrated the effectiveness of the method. The relative abundance (IPA) of the species showed a positive and significant relationship for right, an expected result for animal communities. There was a significant influence of tree density (R² = 0.64; p <0.01), with more species at the points with the highest tree density. Insectivorous and omnivorous species predominated, as expected for urbanized humid areas. However, the third largest proportion of frugivores suggests the influence of fruit plants, abundant in backyards and vacant lots, and the lower land use in the landscape surrounding the urban zone. Maintaining the vegetation on this route and enriching it with native trees would be essential for bird conservation.
