Produção de mudas de Acacia mangium Willd. em diferentes ambientes e recipientes

Abstract

The objective was to identify the best type of container and environment for the growth and production of Acacia mangium Willd seedlings. The experimental design was completely randomized in a 2 x 3 factorial scheme in two cultivation environments (covered with plastic film and with Sombrite® 50% screen) and three types of containers (tubes of 120, 290 and 820 cm³), with 21 repetitions each. It was evaluated: first emergence count, total emergence, emergence speed index, plant height, plant stem diameter, fresh and dry matter of shoot and root, Dickson quality index and relative chlorophyll index. The results were subjected to analysis of variance and means compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. For statistical analysis, the R Core Team program was used. The seedlings produced in an environment covered with plastic film and in the 820 cm3 tube showed the best results.
