Litter decomposition in native forest of the Cerrado biome and E. urograndis
Abstract
Litter comprises the main route of transfer of organic matter and nutrients to the soil, which guarantees the maintenance of the productive capacity of forest sites. The objective was to evaluate the decomposition of litter in an area of native forest and Eucalyptus urograndis located in an integrated system in the municipality of Ipameri, Goiás. naylon 1 mm) with dimensions 30 x 30 cm, for its composition, 50g of leaves were used in the study area, later they were randomly distributed in both evaluated areas. The collection was carried out monthly, with the withdrawal of five bags at each evaluation site, for 14 months. The highest rate of decomposition was due to the litter bags placed between the native forest area when compared to eucalyptus planting in an integrated system.
