Production of enzymes of biotechnological interest by a new strain of Paecilomyces dactylethromorphus
Abstract
Fungi are important sources of obtaining enzymes of biotechnological interest. Therefore, this study has as objective a bioprospect filamentous fungi capable of producing the enzymes proteases, cellulases and xylanases. Initially, residual activated sludge fungi, isolated from a cellulose industry, were isolated using traditional microbiological techniques. Then, enzymatic production was carried out using submerged liquid fermentation, under culture conditions described in the literature. The strain identified as CCI-1 showed the greatest capacity to secrete enzymes of interest, principally proteases (3256.5 U/mg). Therefore, it was identified by macroscopic, microscopic and molecular analysis characteristics, using primers from the D1/D2 and ITS regions, followed by genetic sequencing. The new strain was identified as Paecilomyces dactylethromorphus, a promising biotechnological agent, which can be used to obtain other value-added products.
