Declaration of ethics and good publishing practices
Ethics and Good Research Practices:
Based on the recommendations of Elsevier (https://www.elsevier.com/authors/policies-and-guidelines), Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights presents its Ethics Policy and Declaration on Good Practices:
1) Editorial Committee
The composition of the Editorial Committee of Atâtôt can be viewed through the link (https://www.revista.ueg.br/index.php/atatot/about/editorialTeam). Contacts with the Editorial Team will preferably be by e-mail: revista.atatot@ueg.br
2) Authors
No fees will be charged to the authors for the submission and publication of the academic papers.
In case of plurality of authors, all must have contributed significantly to the research.
References must consist of all works mentioned in the article and must be listed according to the standard ABNT-NBR-6023/2018.
If the work comes from a research funded through funding agencies, the authors should indicate this fact.
Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights aims to publish and disseminate unpublished works, and the author must state, under penalty of law, any condition to the contrary, when submitting his work. In case of prior publication, the author must explain the publication vehicle and the support used (virtual or printed), so that the team of Institutional Editors can deliberate sovereignly regarding the convenience of a possible republication.
3) Peer review process
The articles received by Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights are submitted to a previous examination, carried out by the Editorial Team, with the help of the Editorial Committee, for the purpose of verifying the attendance to the research lines, compatibility between the submitted papers and the profile of the journal, standardization standards, etc. After this first phase, the work is submitted to the double blind evaluation system.
It is understood by double blind evaluation that all mention of the authorship of the articles received is suppressed and they are then sent anonymously to specialized reviewers, of equal or greater titration than the authors, in order to give their opinion on the recommendation, or not, of their publication. The name of the evaluators is also not communicated to the authors.
All evaluated papers should be treated strictly confidentially.
All considerations and judgments during the peer review process should be objective.
When making their considerations, the reviewers should suggest relevant works that were not mentioned in the work.
4) Ethics of publication
Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights reinforces its commitment to scientific values and ethics and expects irreproachable behavior from all involved in the publishing process.
Authors must ensure that their work is original and unpublished and presents objective and accurate discussion. All works cited in the work submitted for publication must be duly referenced; the ponry will not be tolerated and constitutes a serious attack on ethics. As stated in the guidelines to the authors, the concomitant submission of the same article to several journals will not be accepted, because it constitutes unethical behavior. Before submitting the article to Atâtôt,the author responsible for sending must make sure that all authors are aware of the final version of the paper and accept its submission to the journal.
Evaluators should treat all work they receive for evaluation as confidential and evaluated in an objective and constructive manner. Ideas obtained through the evaluation process should not be communicated or used for personal advantage. Conflicts of interest of any kind should be promptly communicated to publishers. If the evaluator does not feel able to perform a certain evaluation or is not available to do so, he/she should inform the editorial team as soon as possible.
Publishers will evaluate articles only on their merit and academic value and will take timely and reasonable action in relation to complaints regarding articles submitted to or published by Atâtôt. Publishers will not use, in their own research, information that has not been published without the express consent of the authors involved.
5) Copyright and access
The submission of work to the appreciation of the Editorial Team of Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights implies, for this same act, the assignment, by the author(s) to the State University of Goiás, for the purposes of reproduction, dissemination, distribution, printing, publication and availability.
Atâtôt - Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights offers free and immediate access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available free of charge to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
